The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is a healthcare initiative by the Government of India aimed at providing comprehensive medical care to ex-servicemen and their dependents. The scheme ensures cashless treatment through a wide network of empaneled hospitals, polyclinics, and diagnostic centers across the country. ECHS is designed to support the healthcare needs of retired armed forces personnel by offering access to quality medical services, covering outpatient care, hospitalization, specialized treatments, and diagnostic facilities.
At our hospital, ECHS beneficiaries can access a broad range of healthcare services as per the approved guidelines. General services include General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics (excluding joint replacement), ICU and Critical Care, and ENT. We also offer specialized services such as Urology (including lithotripsy), Orthopaedic procedures including arthroscopy, Endoscopic Surgery, and Critical Care Medicine. Advanced imaging facilities like X-Ray, Ultrasound (USG), and CT Scan are available, along with basic laboratory services including Haematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, and Pathology, ensuring complete and reliable patient care.
Eligibility Criteria:
The ECHS scheme is available to ex-servicemen of the Indian Armed Forces who have retired with a pension, as well as their eligible dependents. This includes spouses, dependent children, and in certain cases, dependent parents. To avail benefits, beneficiaries must be registered under the ECHS system and possess a valid ECHS smart card. The scheme may also extend to certain categories of armed forces personnel as notified by the Government of India from time to time.
